The Ottawa Art Guild   www.ottawaartguild.org

The Ottawa Art Guild is a group of artists who characterize themselves as purposeful and serious in making visual statements.  They are interested in developing their individual skills with a variety of fine arts media.  The Art Guild is an organization meant to provide aesthetic stimulation and constructive encouragement to its members through exchange, workshops, field trips, working sessions and other shared opportunities.  They differentiate themselves from hobby or recreational activities and the so-called “decorative arts” by concentrating on the expansion of their personal viewpoints through the visuals arts and the improvement of their skills in responding to their environment. Our membership is made up of painters in oil, acrylic and watercolor as well as pastel artists, photographers, poets, fiber artists, musicians and other mediums.

Partnering with local businesses and organizations, a variety of member’s artwork can be viewed every day throughout the community. Local Banks, Ransom Memorial Hospital, Franklin County Visitors Center, ACT Ottawa productions and the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce are some of the many places where the public may view member’s artwork for their enjoyment.
